1. Our core privacy guarantee
The Privacy Tools is built on a privacy-first architecture. For all file-processing tools (PDF Merger, Image Compressor), your files are processed entirely within your browser using client-side JavaScript, WebAssembly, and the HTML5 File API. File contents stay on your device for these tools. Our file-processing tools have no server-side upload endpoints. Your files are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers.
2. What we do NOT collect
- Files you process (PDFs, images, or any other files)
- Text you type into any tool
- Passwords you generate
- QR code content
- Loan or financial details you enter
- Account information (we have no accounts)
3. What we may collect
Like all websites, our web server receives standard HTTP request logs when pages are loaded. These may include:
- Your IP address (handled per standard server log policies)
- Browser type and version (User-Agent string)
- Referring URL
- Pages visited and timestamps
These are standard server logs, not targeted analytics. We do not use this data to build user profiles.
4. Advertising
We plan to use Google AdSense to display non-intrusive advertisements to support the free operation of this site. Google AdSense may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use localStorage to save your dark/light mode preference. This is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. Some tools (unit converter, loan calculator) use URL query parameters to enable sharing. This data is in the URL you explicitly choose to copy and share.
6. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "last updated" date at the top indicates when the last change was made. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
