The Privacy Tools

A collection of free, privacy-first online tools built for people who care about where their data goes.

Who built this site

The Privacy Tools is maintained as an independent web project for people who need practical tools without accounts, installs, or unnecessary tracking. The goal is simple: useful browser-based utilities that are easy to understand, fast to load, and respectful of sensitive files and personal data.

🔒 Our core commitment

When you use a file tool on this site (our PDF Merger, Image Compressor, or any other), your files are processed entirely in your browser. We do not see, store, or transmit your file contents. This is not a policy we can quietly change — it is a technical property of how the file tools are built.

What we stand for

Privacy by design, not by policy

Our privacy promise isn't just words in a policy document. It's enforced by the technical architecture. File-processing tools have no server-side upload endpoints. Your files are processed by browser APIs (File API, Web Workers, WebAssembly) directly on your device, not on our servers.

Free for everyone

All tools on this site are completely free. No freemium tiers, no feature paywalls, no credit card required. If we ever monetize this site, it will be through non-intrusive advertising — never by selling user data or tracking individuals across the web.

Speed as a feature

Because processing happens in your browser, there's no round-trip to a server. You get results instantly, whether you're compressing an image or generating a QR code. Fast means respecting your time.

Built for everyone, everywhere

Our tools work in any modern browser, on any device, in any country. We use locale-aware formatting for numbers and currencies. We build for the global web, not just one region.

Our tools

We currently offer 18 free tools, with more planned.
